Petaling Jaya, 12 February 2020 – KSL Esplanade Mall, a project of KSL City Management (a wholly subsidiary of KSL Holdings Berhad) with a gross development value (GDV) of RM600 million has unveiled their confirmed tenants at KSL Esplanade Mall slated to open in 2021.


The inaugural ceremony took place in One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya. The mall, to be operated by KSL City Management, is located within the 4.85ha integrated development of KSL Bandar Bestari in Klang, Selangor. It has a gross built-up of about 1 million sq ft and a net lettable area of 650,000 sq ft.


KSL City Management Project Director Patrick Khoo said the mall has reached a 65% occupancy rate and is confident it will reach 90% when the mall opens at the end of April in 2021.


He also added that KSL Esplanade Mall positioned as a contemporary urban mall will attract people within the catchment area of Kota Kemuning, Bukit Tinggi, Klang City, Jenjarom, Banting, Rimbayu and Bayuemas.


“We are forecasting it will have an average of 770,000 visitors per month that can increase up to 1 million visitors during festive months,” said Khoo.


Through the collaboration with well-known brands, KSL Esplanade will also be complemented by over 300 local and international stores and a number of large format retailers.


The anchor tenants include TGV Cinemas, AEON MaxValu Prime, Daiso, EnerG X Park, Loon Sing Restaurant, Houzone, Next Gen, Mr DIY, Happy Fish Swim School, Ashley Furniture HomeStore, Tone & Mann, Karaoke Manekineko, FOS and ToyWorld.


“We are also expecting to create over 1,600 job opportunities for the local community. Jobs will be created in retail outlets, client servicing, cleaning, security as well as operations,” said Khoo.


The mall also offers efficient access to over 3,000 parking lots from the four-storey building, and is linked to nearby roads, major highways and near to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) of Johan Setia.


Lastly, Khoo added that the company will be opening its Esplanade Hot Spring Hotel in July 2021. The hotel, with a GDV of RM250 million, is located adjacent to the mall and will have 430 rooms.
