STATE GOVERNMENT IS FOCUSING ON AFFORDABLE HOUSES DEVELOPMENT FOR B40 GROUP
The state government will focus in developing affordable houses for households under B40 Group. The B40 group refers to Malaysian households earning RM3,900 a month or less.
The Chief Minister of Selangor, YAB Tuan Amirudin Bin Shari said, the state government always had its own plans to help those in the group belonging to the B40 Group to ensure that the people in the state have their own residence.
"We will work together and discuss with any developers like MK Land to develop affordable homes to the B40 Group as we do not want them to rent homes until old. This is our promise to the people in Selangor because we do not want any marginalized people to not able to have their own homes, " YAB Tuan Amirudin said during his speech at Majlis Pecah Tanah Projek Rumah SelangorKu, Taman Bunga Raya recently.
Also present at the event were MK Land Holdings Berhad's Founder and Adviser, Tan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Hj. Mustapha Kamal Bin Haji Abu Bakar; Executive Chairman of MK Land Holdings Berhad, Puan Hajjah Felina Binti Tan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Hj Mustapha Kamal; Chief Executive Officer of MK Land Holdings Berhad, Mr K Mohanachandran; and Senior General Manager of MPSB-TBR Group, Tuan Haji Zulkipli Bin Sidin.
However, YAB Tuan Aminuddin said the matter should be refined and discussed in more detail with the developer to benefit all parties especially to the people.
"This is our hope to fulfill our promise to the people. I'm sure we will not stop here in an effort to help the people to own their own homes, " YAB Tuan Aminuddin shared. He also added that he was deeply appreciative and thankful to MK Land for working together in assisting the state government to implement government promises to increase affordable housing to the people in the state.
"I understand that a total of 1,385 units of Rumah SelangorKu in Bukit Beruntung will be built by MK Land Holdings Berhad which involves 2 types of double storey house, Type C at RM200,000 and Type D at RM250,000.”
Meanwhile, Senior General Manager of MK Land Holdings Berhad, Tuan Haji Zulkipli Bin Sidin, said the whole project is expected to take 5 years to complete, involving 1,385 units of Rumah SelangorKu and 757 units in the open market. The residential area will also cover 72 commercial units, bringing the total to 2,214 units with a Gross Development Value of RM 770 million.
"The ceremony held for Majlis Pecah Tanah is for the Land Phase 1 Works of Rumah SelangorKu, covering 42 acres. It will be able to accommodate up to 635 units of Rumah SelangorKu from a total of 1,385 units.”
Projek Rumah SelangorKu is the newest project by MK Land in Taman Bunga Raya which emphasizes a special project of affordable housing for the people of Selangor.
